Thank you for the information. You are welcome! ;D Today the installation of water lines was completed to the 3rd source of water which is flowing even in this drought! The employees have worked many hours during the last few week, 12 hours on Saturday, and 12 hours on Sunday and most of today, finishing this project. I was on the mountain Saturday and the work they were doing was quite impressive. We believe we will now have enough water to serve our customers from this source, which has never been tapped into before. The Town of Anawalt leased this property from Pocahontas Land Company. Saturday morning we started loosing water pressure, and by Sunday the water was gone. The employees, volunteers and contractors were busy on the mountain installing the pipe so I checked some of the valves but couldn't find anything wrong with them; however, what we did find was a water hydrant had been turned on full-blast at the school! Thanks to Donal Hastings who called immediately when he discovered it, we were able to get the water back to our customers. The following day, we found some problems at the pumphouse. Tampering with valves and hydrants causes many problems, from line breakage to pumps burning up so if you see anyone around the hydrants or doing ANYTHING YOU FEEL IS STRANGE, please call us so we can check it out. If the water stops running or your pressure gets low, call me at 383-2993 or 2460 so we can find out what the problem is before it gets serious. Our storage building was broken into on Satuday afternoon so if you know who did this, please call us. Someone is trying very hard to stop us from serving our customers! I feel sure we will find out who is doing this soon. Thank you for your continued patience, I know this has been hard for everyone and I appreciate those of you who called and came by with suggestions, and words of support. I will keep you updated.

Thank you for the information. Thanks to so many, I think we are getting most of the water problems under control; however, we continue to work toward getting back to NORMAL! That may not happen completely until we get more rain and the water level raises...until then, we have completed the 3rd source which is helping keep water in the higher elevations in Jenkinjones. There still isn't enough water to put everyone back on the Jenkinjones water so we are blessed to have the plant operational as well. The water isn't as great as our Jenkinjones source, but Thank God for what we have! Jeff Music and Robert Rash have worked long hours on the upgrades to the water plant. Doug Creasy, Tim Corner, Robert Rash, Claude Perry, Thomas Kezee, James Day and Dennis Johnson worked many hours putting in the 3rd source. The job they did was very impressive! Thanks to all! We have some "glinches" to address at the plant and are waiting for the company, C. I. Thornburg, who installed the pipe and pumps to handle these problems. Please continue to call us if your water pressure gets low. Thanks to all who are watching our valves and hydrants...this has slowed down those tampering with our system. Thank you, Eva Sue Rash, Mayor

This message is for the residents of Spencer Curve. From the intersection at Earl Davis' garage, to the Mobile Home Park the water will be off until Friday. There is a water leak which calls for a special made repair part which will be in Friday on the UPS truck. You may bring containers to Town Hall if you need water. We will do our best to turn the water on tomorrow morning at 11:00 for about 30 minutes so people can catch some water. This water leak is located close to an Electrical Pole; therefore we can only leave it on for a short period of time. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
